If you feel peckish during Open Day there are lots of options. Check out our Student Dining Experience or purchase food from our on-site cafes or food trucks.
Parents and Whānau lounge
Take a break during Open Day at our Parents and Whānau lounge and enjoy a free hot coffee or tea and a biscuit.
The Parents and Whānau lounge will be Located in Ivey Lounge (the library).
Student dining experience
Come and get a taste of halls life with our student dining experience at Te Kete Ika, the Dining Hall.
For just $15 per person, you and your whānau can enjoy a full lunch alongside current halls students.
Early signups have now closed, but you are welcome to walk in and buy lunch on the day.
This offer will be available From 12:00pm to 1:30pm on Friday 18 July 2025.
On-site cafes
With 3 cafes on campus for staff, students and the public, there are multiple food options available to purchase at Open Day. You'll find everything from tasty comfort foods to fresh, healthy bites and hot drinks ensuring there's something for the whole family during your time on campus.
Love takeaway coffee? Our cafes support Lincoln University’s sustainability initiatives and do not have single-use coffee cups on campus. We offer reusable steel cups, silicone lids and cardboard heat sleeves, which are available by $4 deposit and return. Alternatively you can reduce single cup waste by bringing along your own mug or reusable cup to enjoy a delicious, sustainable coffee.

Food trucks
We will have two food trucks parked up on the Forbes Lawn (in front of the Library) for you to purchase from.
